Ossett had just under 22,000 residents at the 2021 Census, spread between Wakefield, Dewsbury and Horbury, and its gardens are as varied as its streets. We cover the whole town, from the conservation area around the Market Place and Bank Street, where the Town Hall clock tower watches over the centre, out to the tree-lined Victorian roads of Station Road, Wesley Street and New Street. Beyond those we work across South Ossett and Storrs Hill, the Ossett Spa area to the south-east, Healey down towards the River Calder, Flushdyke and Streetside, and north to Gawthorpe with its maypole and 55 metre water tower.
Whether you have a long Victorian plot behind a stone wall, a terraced yard close to the centre or a newer garden on one of the estates in the south of the town, we can help with:
- Garden clearance and tidy ups in Ossett: overgrown gardens cut back and cleared, with the waste taken away
- Regular garden maintenance in Ossett: grass cutting, edging, hedge trimming and weeding for homes, landlords and businesses
- Fencing in Ossett: back garden and boundary fencing, with advice on heights and stone front walls
- Landscaping in Ossett: Indian stone patios, paths, turf, artificial grass, gravel, block paving and complete makeovers
Part of the town sits inside the Ossett Conservation Area, first designated in 1980 and reviewed by Wakefield Council in 2026. Trees there are protected, and the old stone boundary walls are treated as part of the town's character. We keep both in mind on every job inside the boundary, and we'll tell you up front if something you're planning might need a word with the council first.
The town's open spaces, such as Ossett Green Park on The Green, opened in 1963 and popular with dog walkers and families, with purple crocuses carpeting the grass each spring, show how much difference a bit of care makes. If your own garden needs attention, call 07347 572509, Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm, and ask for a quote.
